From the page: "of Naperville today announced they will not complete the build-out of the free wireless internet service city wide as the cost to install the system will exceed 3.5 million dollars.
Free wireless Internet service (ā€oeMetroFi-Freeā€¯) is still available to the public in the network coverage area that includes downtown Naperville.
Residents and visitors can use the network to get information about downtown shops and restaurants and other community-related activities. As with any wireless system, the network is open-access and users should take precautions for online security, including turning off file-sharing, establishing a firewall, and using anti-virus software.
To see if you are in the coverage area, go to metrofi.com [metrofi.com] and type in your address. Users can also report problems at the MetroFi Web site under the Support tab and by selecting the Customer Service option"
